Britney Jackson took a leap of faith in 2019 and decided to leave her career in education to start her entrepreneurial journey in the nail business. Being a huge advocate for self- care, she wanted to create a different type of foot and nail care experience. While researching the industry she discovered a lack of healthy, clean, and safe foot and nail care services. She first began providing waterless manicures and pedicures on a mobile nail bus, Klassy Koats Nail Lounge. It was Houston’s first ever mobile nail bus and serviced groups of 4+ at pop-up shops, business events, and parties. While people loved the experience, there was a bigger request for one-on-one services.
Â
She decided to pivot her business in 2020 from a mobile nail spa to a private nail establishment, Klassy Koats Wellness Spa. She continued to still provide healthy, non-toxic, and waterless foot and nail care services. The transition happened just at the right time as people began to look for safer nail services due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.Â
As a lifelong learner, Britney continued to research and attend training/workshops to provide the ultimate healthy foot and nail care experience. She not only is a Texas Licensed Manicurist, she is certified as a Medical Nail Technician, Wellness Nail Technician, Advanced Nail Technician, Foot Care Nail Professional, and Toenail Restoration Specialist. She is certified to provide services for the chronically ill and at-risk clients, such as those who are diabetic, have systemic diseases, elderly, and/or those who are immuno-suppressed.Â
Britney is leading the nail industry in a different direction and mentors other nail professionals that want to join the wave of providing healthier foot and hand services. She is passionate about helping clients adopt her motto: “Health over Aesthetics” when it comes to the care of their hands and feet.Â
